Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts

Our Commitment to Your Child's Safety and Wellbeing

The safety and welfare of our young members and adults at risk are of paramount importance at Moonlight Warriors Martial Arts. This safeguarding page offers an introduction to our protective measures. For a complete understanding, please take a moment to read our detailed Safeguarding Policy, which can be found here Safeguarding Policy or you can download it further down this page in 'Policies and Procedures'.

For added reassurance and expert guidance, we have appointed the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA) as our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). We encourage you to initially share any concerns with our club directly if you feel able. However, BMABA is available to provide impartial support, and expertise should you prefer an alternative reporting route.

Safeguarding

We have designated our Governing Body, British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA) to act as our club’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). BMABA can provide an impartial and expert response to safeguarding concerns if you do not feel you can raise it with our club directly. You should still contact our club first with concerns, if you feel you can - safeguarding@moonlightwarriors.co.uk or speak with Sue Lambert directly.

If you need to contact BMABA, you can do so by visiting bmaba.org.uk/safeguarding or by emailing safeguarding@bmaba.org.uk . Our assigned Lead Officer is Aimee Little. In her absence, another suitably trained deputy will be available from BMABA’s dedicated safeguarding team.
